The “Game Localization Round Table” (within LocWorld) is the most important international conference for the entertainment software localisation industry. The “Game Localization Round Table” builds on the success of previous events featuring an all-star programme with the leaders in desktop, handheld and browser gaming. Speakers from the localisation departments of the most highly reputed companies will be presenting the latest trends and solutions that their companies are working on to cater for the ever-expanding reach of video games. Gone are the days of the FIGS countries, now most companies launch simultaneously in 12 to 25 countries, turning localisation into the essential feature for growth. The GLRT harbours the open discussion of the multifaceted issues of the game localisation process allowing for an exciting and constructive debate amongst the most experienced game localisation professionals from around the world. The key terms highlighted over the past few years accentuate global game industry trends clearly shifting the focus from basic translation to localisation, early integration, dev. embedment, internationalisation, co-creation, cloud solutions, and glocalisation.

This round table creates the perfect neutral ground for game developers, publishers and localisers to engage in a constructive dialogue around the growing challenges of bringing video games to the world, an industry that generated $81 billion in 2014.
