On Saturday 9th June 2012, we held our first Media Across Borders conference. 120 academic guests and representatives from the television, video games and localisation industries found their way to Roehampton to listen to 41 speakers from over 15 countries share their expertise in the cross-cultural adaptation of audiovisual content.

Coming from as far as Australia, Japan, Canada and the US and from many European countries, the panellists spanned the globe, and together with an enjoyably active audience offered an intriguing array of perspectives on the localisation of film, television and video games, and the many complexities involved.
